Recipe from The Apple Cookbook: Spiced Apple Drops 1/2 c. butter 2/3 c. sugar 2/3 c. brown sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. ground nutmet 1/8 tsp. ground cloves |
1 egg 1/4 c. apple juice or cider 2 c. flour 1 c. finely chopped apple 1 c. chopped walmuts Apple Frosting |
Lightly grease a cooke sheet. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed for 30 secons. Add the sugars, cinnamon, soda, nutmeg and cloves. Beat until combined, scraping the side of the bowl. Beat in the egg and apple juice or cider until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour; apple and walnuts. Drop dough by a rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake at 375' for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool; spread with Apple Frosting. |
Apple Frosting 4 c. powdered sugar 1/4 c. softened butter Mix together in medium bowl until smooth. Spread over cooled cookies. |
1 tsp. vanilla 3 to 4 tbsp. apple juice |
